Third graders will be studying the art and architecture of the amazing Notre Dame Cathedral in France. We will discuss the history and construction of the cathedral, and induce why art was so significant in the building's design. Students will be introduced to radial symmetry, and create their own radial symmetry patterns inspired by the stained-glass Rose Windows.
