For our next project, 2nd graders will be exploring 3D art inspired by the sculptures of Dale Chihuly. Chihuly is a master glass sculptor who loves to experiment with color. Students will review and be introduced to several color schemes they'll have to choose from, including warm, cool, analogous, and complementary. They will design a color pattern, then watch how nature changes the art! Just as in glass sculpting, the air, heat, gravity, and humidity will play a big role in the final composition!
